With a duration of 32 minutes, this score was premiered by the Eclectix Chamber Orchestra on May 16, 1988 at the New School Auditorium, NYC with Jeff Talman, conductor / Brian Willson, jazz drummer / Mark Feldman, concert master & violin soloist.

The Symphony employs the form of “stylistic variations” in which each statement of the main theme remains largely unchanged but in which each variation features a different style of music.
